I\'m going to stop after this one post, but I think
it's important to point this out.
If you only walk away with one sentence, then I want everyone to remember this:
In a game as complicated and detailed as Dominions, there will be glitches. Will be.
The fact that only two people have made such a relatively glitch-free game is amazing. Notice I didn't say glitch-free, because that would make them some sort of Demi-Gods. It would be impossible. Math people can now jump on this and say that a 0.00001% chance isn't "impossible".
I do like this game. Which is why I am so upset that some trivial feature is so broken that it causes several races to lose automatically. However, that's not important. What is important is your reaction to my statements.
1.Very, very few of you have attempted to say I am wrong because Bandar loses for other reasons. Obviously, you could have said that the monkeys lose because they have MR 8 and Morale 9 below the Bandar. Or that this "missile weapon" race actually has inferior missile weapons. Only when a race is horrifically broken is the general consensus of "everything balanced" broken. Many people become excessively upset when a glaring problem is pointed out. Glitches exist. Some are simple to fix. Bumping up PD takes a few hours to fix ALL races.
2.No one here believes that giving Bandar some Vanaria Chackram throwers and a few Vanaria Warriors is going to make them "unstoppable". Few believe that Patala isn't "below average", as polls consistently point out. Thus, none of you actually have any reason to be upset with a buffing of Bandar PD. Who cares? I care because I want to play them, but why do you care about "facing off" against Bandar with good PD? Do any of you actually believe that would make them unstoppable? Why even bother getting worked up about it?
Why are you upset about it?
3.I am not seeking "perfect balance" or even "balance". I just want trivial features to not scramble my whole game.
You can not buy junk units.
You can not cast junk spells.
You CAN substitute Junk PD with Fliers or Raiders or Undead garrison. However, if you don't have those, YOU ARE STUCK WITH LOUSY PD

Re: I\'m going to stop after this one post, but I t
Actually I think most people agreed that:
a) The monkey nations have really bad pd (the giants and manchaka being good competion for the last place in the pd issue)
b) The monkey nations are at best average, but probably below average. This is in my opinion not so much due to having bad pd (plays a small part of course) but mostly due to bad troops (elephants being the exception).
Most of the monkey nation are rather bad especially in early and mid game (so not optional in a duel, though I do think MA ulm is in for a bit of trouble). They do however start to shine if you can use diplomacy to make it to the later part of the game. Astral nations are almost brokenly good in late game, especially if they have access to clam mages.

You're acting like people don't like you because you dared to suggest buffing monkey PD. That has nothing to do with anything. I am interested in making a PD mod rebalancing and buffinf PD across the board at some point, but people don't hate on me for it. You have two problems - firstly you come across as a ranting blowhard and don't seem to actually read the responses you're getting (as evidenced by this your 3rd thread on the subject) - secondly you make stupid statements like "Kailasa can never win" and point to incomplete/useless 'evidence' which is immediately challenged. Of course because you don't actually take people's responses on board, you keep pointing to it.

Has it ever occurred to you Lord_Bob that the PD difference might be by design, and could even be considered a good thing?
I also agree that a game this size must have glitches and cannot be issue-free, but nonetheless I feel that it's a good thing that some nations have really bad PD while for others it's very strong - it adds character and interest to the game. I would not be pleased to see all PD buffed. I understand that that's just my opinion, and possibly a controversial one - but it doesn't seem to occur to you that that opinion could exist.
If you want it fixed so badly just make a mod for it, and if you want to play MP games with your mod then you can host them. Easy, problem solved.

I've had it with these PD threads.
If Lord_Bob can't be bothered to answer the arguments against his position in the already existing threads, then he can keep his mouth shut about the subject instead of cluttering the forum with repeated duplicate threads.
