I haven't had that come up before, and never had trouble with PBW - using FreeDownloadManager and the FlashGot firefox addon, although I think when you click a link its just firefox giving it to FDM, not using flashgot - but not sure I just click and it works

. If you want to try FlashGot, search the Firefox add-ons site for it - there's a link on the firefox add-ons popup you get from Tools menu\Add-ons.
