Try the demo. If you like the changes to the user interface, you should consider it. If you don't like the new interface, stay with DomII.
The demo has... I think all the nation the demo has are new, in fact. Golden Era Arcoscephale is close to what it used to be, but the other races I remember are included are either new (Kailasa, Agartha), early Atlantians are very different from the ones you are used to...

I agree. The Dom3 demo is your best bet for helping you to decide.

Perhaps I've missed some previous thread discussing this, but I'm very curious about what anyone dislikes about the Dom3 interface.
Every change that I've noticed between Dom2 and the Dom3 demo is an improvement, IMO.

Lack of "Hide Researchers" key. Atleast that's the only change I can think of that I dislike.

On an other issue I tried to download Dominions PPP demo from illwinter and the Windows version´s link is not working.

Yeah, the original Dominions' GUI looked very good. It was impossible to play, but looked very good.
