Thanks SJ. I thought the swirling (9) warp points might be the cause of really poor performance in a central system I have in a test game I'm screwing around with. Turns out it's not, it's the volume of ships (500+). It's like the game is trying to keep track of every ship in a system when it is selected. Mouse performance just goes to heck in that system, but is ok in others.
Not a situation that would occur in 99% of games so it's no big deal, I just wonered what was killing off performance.
