Re: KG Griffin the Alt History Campaign Continues
Hey Bob, can we get some close ups of your units please. I would like to see what the players are bringing to the table.

Re: KG Griffin the Alt History Campaign Continues
War Diary, Battle of El Arish Over
The Canadian force finally gave up their advance and withdrew. Several more CAS Airstrikes occured before the cessation of the engagement. These caused more damage which amounted to 57 wounded, a Panther and a Rommel destroyed, well as some minor damage.
Div and even AG HQ are pleased.
I received a personal BefhelsRommel. C Kp began to receive the Cheetahs promised, with the delivery of two, which replaced their HQ units. D Kp replaced it's AAA with the new Stahlwind. The visiting Hubz Gp has been seconded to our KG, giving us an attached Sqdrn of Angriff Hubz. Our Arty Bn's Ammo Carriers finally showed up as well.
As for future Ops, a sweep to SUEZ Canal is in the works, and within 3 days we will be moving out to our pre-assault positions.

SITREP Fr 15th Pz Div

Allied mechanized forces have been noted moving in some force out of the Suez area into the Sinai. This appears to be an attempt dwarf our assault on the canal. Unit in the AG vanguard are to close and engage these forces and eliminate the risk of mobile forces marauding around our pre-attack laager areas.

You know you can up-date those Tiger III icons of yours and Oragus has produced a shed load of Panthers which would look very good in there too. His Panther Fs and IIs are very good indeed. What year have you reached?

Re: KG Griffin the Alt History Campaign Continues
I have all the latest updates and new products and will incorparate them into my game once this campaign plays out.
Also there are other panzers coming down the AH pipe, in this timeline.
My end result is to have all the elements produced and playtested to create an alternate history campaign. I figure after a couple campaigns using serveral ideas I have, (one of which I'm campaigning now) I'll have all the equipment, units, maps and storylines ready to cobble together this campaign. Of course, this will not occur overnight, and the next upgrade in in the works. I'm committed to this, I want to give something back to the game.
That being said I'm also open to advice, especially if something seems really out of wack. (Bear in mind this is a What If.) I've already used ideas imparted to me and of course last and not least the ICON Art to bring to life those beasties which only crawled the battlefield in the minds of inventors.

Give 'em Hell PanzerBob!
The map's, your sitrep's and everything else is way above par. I can smell the fumes and choke on the dust.
I'm like a kid in a candy store with your AAR's. I just can't get enough!

Re: KG Griffin the Alt History Campaign Continues
Next War Diary entry is coming.
Another FYI I'm using real 1:250,000 maps to create my stories and maps to battle on. Most are from the 1950's as I couldn't find suitable maps from the 40's with the coverage feature details I was looking for, in order to create winSPWWII maps.

Re: KG Griffin the Alt History Campaign Continues
War Diary, SSKG Griffin 18 Oct 1945,
Our road move to the assembly area has been a slow but steady trek. The thing, which struck us most, was we were now really in a desert, the hellish heat and sand, sand in everything. We had no real idea except some of our DAK veterans what a difference being off the coast would make. Our Arab guides were most helpful and changes in our uniforms, routines and pace have made this bearable. My main concern has been keeping my men and machine in top form, as we know the enemy lurks across these burning sands.
I’ve managed to get attached 4 Recce Gps which are leading are advance and I’m told I have 2 Bn of 17 cm on call should we have to tangle with one of these Allied Probes. This seems likely, as my Recce Hubz I sent out has spotted a large amount of activity at sundown before we stopped for our rest period. They can only be bent on our assembly area in the EL Guarir. The morning sun shall see the chaos of battle once again, for this ancient land I wonder how many times this has been so. We shall move off at midnight and hope to catch our foe of guard.
