Acouchi - MA game for new players (full)

Not a thread(well probably is)--in 'da rules' pg 93. Am I the only maroon who actually purchased this game?(no wait actually 'hinted' it with website address for x-mas gift from the wife ) Anyway it spreads as if you had Max Dom of 5. But according to rules ONLY if 'victory points' special victory condition is selected at game set-up. As Im new to this game, havent really paid attention when Ive played against the computer.
