Re: Ringworlds and Map Editor
Well, as i said it worked for me while i create the RW, it doesnt work if i try to change an existing RW.
If you send me the map and the locations to place a RW i will try to edit your map, i have Ancient Empire anyway.

Re: Ringworlds and Map Editor
Fryon it is a bug...
If I start a game or join a game with Ringworld or Sphere world starting points we have to let the map maker know our atmosphere type.
That way they can create the world so the race can breathe on it. If not it defaults to a huge or large planet.
Can you create the map in gold and see if it will load up in 1.49..

Re: Ringworlds and Map Editor
I've known about that bug for ever. That's why I collected the planet and atmosphere types in the first place. I'll try making one in Gold and see if it works.

Re: Ringworlds and Map Editor
Ok, thanks to some help from Mirona Thetin, I have figured out the problem:
In the map editor, you cannot edit the Ringworlds if there is no normal star in the system. If there is a star, you can make them whatever you want them to be. No star, no changes. So, you have to make the Ringworld first, and then remove the star.

Re: Ringworlds and Map Editor
Well, i dont think that it matter if there is a sun in the system or not. I tried to add a RW in a system with sun and w/o sun ant it worked fine to add a new RW with whatever atmosphere or planet type.
However i have noticed that editimg an existing RW (or other planet) to an other atmosphere, planet type or planet size will become valid only if one select a new picture, even thought RW of any atmosphere and planet type have all the same picture.

Re: Ringworlds and Map Editor
I found that the real problem with placing Ringworlds in the Map Editor is that you cannot edit them if they are in the same location as a starting location flag.
