Finish this year? Gee, that's pessimistic.  You could look at it another way and say that the reason playing is so time-consuming is because we're so close to the end. |

I believe that everybody has most of the research at level 9 now for the things that he cares about, so this is late game, yes. But close to the end? I'm really not so sure about that.

Laptop meltdown
I'm sorry, I have to let the timer stay off a while longer. My notebook has broken down and I am unable to play the game at the moment. Even though a file system check doesn't report any errors, I am unable to boot successfully. I have investigated the problem and the last entry in my /var/log/messages before the system started to fail is an "attempt to access beyond end of device", uh-oh...  I hope I'll get my system back running in time, but I'm ill at the moment with a bad cold and I'm rather confined to staying in bed, too. Meh. |

Sorry to hear about your computer trouble! And your unfortunate illness too.
Sounds like the scales problem to me.  Dominions bugs are leaking into your reality.
