Re: More mac problems
Ok, I got to the terminal, I got to the dominions directory and got stuck from there. Any help? What is the command to run the dominions.app?

Re: More mac problems
If you don't have multiple installations of different versions of dominions on your system, you don't need a link like my dom314.
I'm sorry, but I don't know much about Macs. I think your executable is called dom3_ppc, but it could be dom3_x86 if you got an Intel CPU. You can also try just dom3, maybe try these commands until one works:
dom3 --help
./dom3 --help
dom3_ppc --help
./dom3_ppc --help
dom3_x86 --help
./dom3_x86 --help

Re: More mac problems
OK! I got it. (I just went directly to where the dominions3 is located and did ./Dominions3) I'm running text mode and I went to the Energy Saver preferences and unchecked "turn off hard drive when possible." That was probably the thing that killed the servers.

Re: More mac problems
WELL WHAT DO YOU KNOW? The server shut off AGAIN! Here's what the commandline looks like after I tried to get it started again:
Code:
Arc+ Er+ Mi+ Aby+ Ct+ Ag+ Tir+ Ni- Yom+ Atl+ Rl+ La-
Broken pipe
mark-hicklers-computer:~/dominions3/dominions3.app/contents/macos markhickler$ ls
Dominions3
mark-hicklers-computer:~/dominions3/dominions3.app/contents/macos markhickler$ ./Dominions3 -ST --port 4334 --hours 48 Dominion
bind: Address already in use
Network Error
mark-hicklers-computer:~/dominions3/dominions3.app/contents/macos markhickler$ ./Dominions3 -ST --port 4334 --hours 48 Dominion

Dominion, Connections 0, Time 48h

No it is not. This spins down the motors of the hard drives when there hasn't been any read/write accesses to them for a longer time.

Re: More mac problems
My Mac is CLOSING down the server after it says "Broken pipe." The problem you are linking to is one where the client has trouble connecting.
sooo... I don't understand how that has to do with my problem UNLESS "Broken pipe" could mean all sorts of things.

Re: More mac problems
Broken pipe means that the (persistent) connection has been aborted. Going into sleep mode would cause this, yes.
