Re: Extension for FAJ
Thanks llamabeast!
From FAJ's post, it looks like he may have found a sub for this game, but his turn just didn't get done, and he was about to stale again.

Re: Extension for FAJ
what? i'm subbing - i missed one turn due to email delays - thought it would get in in time, as it was w/in 3 hrs of the 3 hr notice, but clearly the times were a bit off. turn 49 was submitted last night... why is there a delay? This turn was submitted well before the deadline - in no way was I about to stale.
please reinstate the normal schedule unless there is some real reason

Re: Extension for FAJ
Oh, that's good! Thanks for subbing for FAJ.
In FAJ's 'request for sub' thread (linked above), it's impossible to tell whether or not he actually managed to get you to sub for him or not.
He had staled once, and there was something like 6 hours left on the timer. I was about to go to bed, FAJ is actually the admin for this game, and I think llamabeast is in England. So, to prevent a second stale, I had to request an extension when I did.
I've got no idea why Ulm has not submitted orders yet.

Re: Extension for FAJ
(Edit: Ah well. Looks like it wasn't quite as good as I thought. See the post below.)

Behold! Tien Chi is ruling!
Whooaa,
Tien chi is surely going to conquer the world now!!!
All hail the overwhelming genius of the pretender strategist who slaughtered he's followers in a recordspeed retreat, but is now going to snatch the crown of the sole god before your very eyes! First we couldn't figure out how fantastic the plan of this übermind was, but now we see it!
btw;
[Somehow quite a few (8) of the lucky thirteen sent monks appeared in the neighbouring provinces (one even wounded), perhaps the code has been altered and it's now possible to escape from the pd++++++++ ?]
Really fearing for he's meager unlife now,
Zhukov

Re: Behold! Tien Chi is ruling!
You can usually escape from PD if you own a neighboring province. (Well, escaping from Pan PD is tough because of their flyers, and Man might be tough if they have longbowmen.)
Or is a TC province that your monk escaped into by sneaking? That would be new!

Sneaking monks fled?
Yes vfb,
The monks went into the tien chi's only province left by sneak command, and they fought separately as they were discovered each separately. (Some of them had <cast spell> and <retreat> or plain <retreat> script and most of them were placed on the rear edge of the screen). I have not been able to observe the combats because right now i have access only to inferioir computer, but i am going to check the fights this weekend at my home.
Cheers for the 50th turn!
