I have to postpone the game a bit; I can't post turns this week so We'll postpone 36 hours.

I tried it out in SP. The tidal wave of Astral Pearls it gave me was quite unsettling. AIs don't cast as much as humans AFAIK, and I was getting 30/turn even then.

Yeah, but you need really high astral mage + a huge stockpile of astral pearls. And people here are casting much less than I expected. I hoped for about 2x more gems per turn.
