I did try a game under Version 1.49. Used for Geo's voyager scenario

Version 1.49. They are very easy to role-play, never went for all out rule th galaxy
"I have never finished a game where I used them exclusively. Come to think of it, I have never finished a game of SEIV ever. Every time I try, a new patch comes out, I loose interest, or I have the run of the galaxy by turn 400. Why go on?" Glad I am not the only one!!

My favorite race is the Borg, don't care for the Dreadnought pic. The speech files are great.
My least favorite are the Romulans, great looking shipset. but in one game under the TDM modpack they attacked me with a fleet of wave-motion armed Frigates. Not much of a challenge to say the least!
I have yet to play against a trek race under Gold, have added the races but never started a game since I have.
They do add much flavor to the game, and I can't see having a sci-Fi game without the star Trek theme
As I said, I am just curious.
