The data files it is talking about are not the files you would download from PBW. It is talking about the datafiles that are in the Data folder of SE4 installation. If you created the game using any sort of mod, you would want to make sure you are using the same mod as you try to play the turn.
You can try reinstalling the game and patching the fresh installation. Some people have also reported problems with zip files from PBW that were fixed by installing the latest Version of Winzip.
Hmm. What happens if Malfador changed some of the datafiles between 1.60 and 1.67 (I know they changed the systemtypes to fix the problem with the new nebulaes). Would this cause the datafile check to erroneously tell us we are using different data files when trying to play old 1.60 games?? If so then we might have a problem...

I installed the patch and now when I try to play a current game I am told, "Invalid data files - the files currently being used don't match the files used when the game was started. Please check with your host to get the correct data files". Since I *am* the host I re-downloaded the files via the PBW game admin screen but I am still getting the error. Do I have to make yet another install of 1.6 for the sake of my current games?
