I have Norton Internet Security 2002 firewall and it has never deteced anything being sent out by SE4. If it did it would prompt me to ask if I wanted to block it or not.

I think SE4 just checks to see that various network components are in place just in case a tcp/ip game gets started up. Doesn't actually transmit.

OK I'll buy that as my home system has no network or phone line. BUT... I had a mysterious ESOCK error that kept me from playing the demo, until I install the communications option (dial up networking) from my Window 98 CD.
I have about 15GB of other programs that ran just fine. So maybe SE4 could do a better job of program error trapping, notification, and allow the program to run without TCP/IP.
