Where are the downloads?

I'm well aware of that, but in that case, it was mostly DoGA. Plus, you didn't need to worry about how the other side of the ship looked, or if all of the polygons would become a "slideshow mode: on" button. 3D complicates matters.

I don't think it was mostly Doga. Sure AT was obsessed with it, but there were a lot of other authors besides him.

I know of people that used Maya, 3dsmax, etc. Hell, even one or two crazy people used AutoCAD! Then of course there were the screen capture shipsets that certainly can't translate to SE5.
