Attacking Machaka before turn 50 is also against the rules . |

i like that, well said its late i think we have at least one more day. by the way be afraid of ermor their damn preists have apostacy which hurts you more than me. your sacred spiders after they lose their riders has a mag resist of 8, ouch having them turn in battle can really hurt. i suggest mag resist spells

Re: New game for newish players- MA
Thanks for the pointer. I am actually currently learning this in a game I am playing at the moment where I am fighting ermor. I switched from sacred spiders to normal spiders. Not as tough but at least I don't have to fight my own men. Oh and by the way with no rider they have MR of 5, even more ouch. Although to be honest his nether darts backed up be skele spam is hurting a lot more.

Re: New game for newish players- MA
Pretender sent, I guess we're about ready to get this one on the road!
Concerned about having to get 9 out of 15 capitals... yikes. Want to just go with 7 like we did with Ascendant?

Are we going with a random map or Glory of the Gods? Never played on that one... does it have smoothed out starting locations so everyone has 5 provinces next to their capitals or something?

I think I'd just prefer a random map with victory markers NOT SHOWN. It kinds of spoils the early game it seems when you know where all the capitals are and everyone starts rushing exactly toward everyone else. And a random map has an equal chance of screwing you as helping you, that's perfectly fair.

I've just sent in a slighty altered Pretender design if that's ok. If it's too late then no worries :-) |

Again, really sorry for the inconvenience, but my sister got her Master's Degree so I'm pretty stoked and I'm gonna drive out there. |

Re: New game for newish players- MA
Hi, well this sucks, how about a cut off time say 12 noon sunday? I'm sorry but i've played huge monster board games Wif, war in the pacific, empires at arms, ect... how we deal with people not being available is we appoint a sub to keep the game going. cant we do this? im sure the various players all have war game geeks to fill in for them. but lets set a solid start time and if you miss it without a sub, you get dropped. Bwaha

So you'd rather that everyone around the new AI nation gets a huge advantage throughout the game, rather than just start it a day or three late?
Who cares, the game goes for months and months. I for one can wait for the full roster. Have some patience, Bwaha, this ain't SP! |
