Chris, the attachment on the first post is a RAR file, which is like a zip file. If you can't open it you need to download a program called winrar from here:
http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar371.exe
You should then be able to open the rar file, and find that it contains Alexander.tga, which you should put in your dominions3/maps folder. |

I don't think that was the problem because Chris says he "extracted the file into map folder".

Well if he hasn't got a tga file he must have had an issue somewhere along those lines.

Actually, this has happened two times.
What happens if I download the mod file before the map file, the game will not work.
aka - when I run it, I can't see neighbors, 3 icons of recruitable troops don't show up, etc.
However, if I then just download the mod file again, everything works fine.
