Re: Painful Experiences from Battle Turn Limits
I had similar thing with my capitol, but it was shorted and I won the battle, but lost the game. I have lost elephants which had a huge part of my total HP so my mages routed when enemy was almost dead. About 30! mages routed into nowhere when enemy was strorming my castle. I easily killed 600 enemy troops and I could defend my capitol for 10-30 turns, but nah, they decided to run away because few elephants got killed. |

My crippled pretender didn't manage to run away fast enough from pesky Mictlanese lately. Too bad the only affliction she got was crippled...

 | Of course, the paralyze-spamming moonpreist helped with that. Though he was scripted to spam horrormark, actually. |

I don't find elephants very useful, VERY low MR thus easy to kill, and rout easily, but that can be solved if you put some slow high-morale troops with them, but anyway I don't use them they're unpredictable.By the way I'm testing Mictlan a little, and never used blood bless so far, what does death curse do exactly!?

Blood Bless is more or less useless. Sometimes when a B9 blessed unit is killed, the killer is Cursed, as per the level 1 thaumaturgy spell. |

 | I'm finding blood/fire bless to be very useful, since they have some excellent blood spells, their sacreds don't have incredible strength, and benefit from the blood blessing, and spamming Rain of Jaguars late game with a B9 pretender never gets old. |

Rain of Toads? Rain of Jaguars sounds horrifying.
"OMG Larry, it's raining 300lb jungle cats again!"

O.O

They should get Rain of Anacondas. Machaka could get Rain of Spiders, ewwwwww..... And of course, Lanka could have Rain of Sumatran Rat Monkeys. |

Re: Painful Experiences from Battle Turn Limits
Fire 9 is a mast have bless for Mictlan, that is obvious, but I wouldn't go as far as B9, I thought death curse was something a little more powerful but as Endroperez told me it just curses you if you kill the sacred unit, so that lousy. But the real question is do you take F9 W9 and blood4 with bad scales, or do you take F9 and a little blood or water and take stronger dominion and income scales???
I hate making pretenders, I'm starting a new game with Mictlan and I've made 3 pretenders and just can't choose one, and I know either way I'm gonna regret taking the one I'll take!!!
 Decisions decisions...

I believe death curse also has a slight chance of a weak horror mark. |
