Re: Important notice for PBW Users.
Server is now in transit from New York to Ohio via US Postal Service.
Let us hope for no pipe bombs and anthrax enroute.
Cheers,

Re: Important notice for PBW Users.
Ok, please be kind as I am inexperienced at PBW (on my first game) and generally am so unfocussed on technology that I think ATMs are run by little dwarfs who sit inside handing out money
First, I presume the server moving means that the PBW game I am involved in is on hold, which means I wont be receiving any new turns and wouldn't be able to uipload them if I did.
Secondly, why is everything ending up in Ohio? is it the epicentre of some localised high gravitational field pulling everything into it? half the forum seem to come from Ohio (or Pheonix AZ), what on earth is the deal? us Brits are always told that Ohio is the cloaco maxima of the central US?

Re: Important notice for PBW Users.
LOL.
I have a theory about that GT. You see, (And this comes from a 25 year resident) Ohio weather is just hideous. It's not uncommon in the spring to have 75 degrees days followed by ice storms 24 hours later. Standard meteorological analysis holds no weight when predicting weather in Ohio. Your typical five day forcast, in most places a pretty good predictor of upcoming weather, is not much more reliable in Ohio than the Farmers Almanac published four times a year. All this makes planning any kind of outdoor activity a little dicey.
Throw in the fact that Ohio is just about the most FREAKING BORING PLACE ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH, and you see why people get very involved in the internet around here. Well that and cow tipping, but that's another story.

Re: Important notice for PBW Users.
GT, Ohio is the realm of the unknown, especially with the weather as Geo has put forth in his ascertation. What better place to absorb all the fundamentals of game play. We have Cedar Point, Kings Island, and Geauga Lake for R&R for those who need to get away from the stress of every day gaming. In relation to PBW games I would render an opinion that the hosts of this miracle of interactive play, over the course of time most definitly deserve some R&R at prime locations within their respective areas, (especially after putting up with some of us computer illiterates and our numerous questions) However, your question does inflict the possiblity of some research into this particular area, therefore, I shall endeavor to pass this along to those colleges within our domain in order to get an unbiased, neutral opinion.

Re: Important notice for PBW Users.
Mac, I didn't understand a lot of your post - are you saying Ohio has some nice bits? I was always under the impression that it was not the most attractive place but was vibrant and busy - a bit like a dead dog lying on an anthill, just without the charm.
Hmmm, I have spent quite a bit of time in the US -I like New Orleans, Savannah, Atlanta (d'em Southern girls!!), Houston, Tucson, Boston, Portland and I love San Fransisco - Cleveland? just doesn't have the same allure as these other places
