Re: Opionions, greatest AI\'s?
AI difficulty:
High = AI uses all ministers
Medium = turns off some ministers
Low = turns off more ministers
AI bonus:
Low = all AI production x2
Medium = x3
High = x5
The AI doesn't handle a lot of tech mods well without customizing the AI for the mod; higher Version numbers of Proportions have better-adapted AI.
The AIs seem to handle my Hypermaze mod better than I expected; they ought to perform in it about as well as they would in an Ancient quadrant.

Re: Opionions, greatest AI\'s?
I like the Aquilians, Pyrochette, Rage, Toron, and Earth Alliance as consistantly good AI's. The EEEvil and Zorians (even if the Zorians are mine) for being entertaining without being too easy. The Vikings and the Orks have given me the toughest time though.

Re: Opionions, greatest AI\'s?
Well, the Vikings once took my homeworld after maybe 30 turns...was their 2nd attempt. So they get number one.
Aquiliaens are two. Had one game where they beat me back out of three systems before I stopped them with a massive mine field.
Klingons are a close third. I always end up beating them but more than once they have kicked me around.

The Narn Regime seems to be pretty good w/minesweeping. Eventually you get reports of ships destroyed by your mines, but they managed to sweep 90+. (One reason why I set the mine limit to 200 units, the other is that the weapon talisman makes facing them even more frightening...)
