Can't install SE4G on Win2000 pro laptop...

Just burned a CD with a big zip of all my SE4 stuff (460 Mb !!!), put that back on the laptop and YOOOOHOOOO, it works !!!

The trick was that those stupid *ssh .. umh admins at office that lend me the laptop did'nt allow Users to edit registry, so the installer crashed ... but SE4 does not use registry in-game it seems, so no problemo copying via file system

Errr I swear I don't warez anything, I'm a fully legal customer and I just can't carry my home PC on a business trip

! Noone will play here when I'll be abroad neither...

Too bad PBW will be down else I even could have continued my PBW game next week, the laptop also has a supersecure Notes mail system with worldwide access ...

your adm. has a good reason to put all possible security checks before giving you a company equipment ! First thing you do is to load 0.5 Gb of some silly computer game

Anyway all their efforts are in vain, I did succeed putting what I wanted

... Installing SE4 was NOT the first thing I did, I checked office mail first ...

And what harm do I cause by doing this ? I'll play in my hotel room instead of watching Polish TV

I believe that you are allowed to make as many installs of SEIV as you want to.

If the EULA is the same as most other games out there, you can make as many installs as you want, as long as you only use one at a time. In other words, you can have one on your computer, and one on your wives computer, but you can't use both at the same time. Or one on your laptop, and one on your desktop, you can't play against your buddy with him using the laptop and you the desktop, unless he also buys SEIV. Legally, at least, and morally, also, in my system of morals.

Actually, IIRC, Richard has said that installing multiple copies on computers you own for the purpose of playing multiplayer over a LAN or something is acceptable.

Well, I admit I haven't read the EULA for SEIV, so it could very well say that. I'm not too worried about it, as I have my own copy of SEIVG, and haven't yet played any multi player. When I do, I'll take a look at the EULA.
