what about that giant ettin? or the 6 Knights Eternal sacred wielding flambeaus? are they not around any more?
edit: i'm sure i've seen the ettin recently. good work definitely, anyways  |

oh yeah, madame fortuna - isn't she 1 astal with 20 slingers? does she have the ability to help ward off bad
luck?
the mechanics of what determines which mercenaries show up are obscure at best. Some, like the eternal knights, are very rare and almost only ever show up late game.
You can try more tests, but anyone else missing should hopefully be mentioned in this thread

Mighty Pak-ur the Ettin shows up in EA for sure.
Orion's Eternal Knights and Madam Fortuna show up in LA.
Otto the Great is a bunch of monkeys I think... EA maybe?

Hhhmmmmm curious
The list was compiled by running 3 test games in MA with max nations until year 15. In all the games the merc lists were empty for the last 3-4 years, and neither the Giant Ettin or the Eternal Knights showed up in any of them. But if they do exist then I guess I need to run some more tests!!
Edit - nor Madam Fortuna.
Will run more test games later today and update the list. Does anyone know if the game era affects which mercs show up? I thought it didn't, but maybe it does.
