Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong here?

I also want to boost province test, so I wanted to see if I can change the Early Arco province defense to Hoplite (I moved them to EA) and Agema Companions (I moved them too).

So I put:

#selectnation 0
#defcom1 746
#defcom2 242
#defunit1 14
#defunit2 1553
#defmult1 4
#defmult2 4
#end

I thought the above cleared the default Early Arco province defense, but the result is that--while I do get the Hoplites and Agemas, and the new commanders are there too--the default province defense (that is, Cardaces, Slingers, and Peltasts, but no Myrmidons?) also seems to be around.

Because those were the original #defunit1b and #defunit2b units. You haven't overwritten them.

This is still all in the mod manual.

Ok, I put something on the 1b and 2b slots as well, but still ended up getting unwanted slingers.

#selectnation 0
#defcom1 746
#defcom2 242
#defunit1 14
#defunit1b 16
#defunit2 1553
#defunit2b 1078
#defmult1 20
#defmult1b 20
#defmult2 20
#defmult2b 20

Is there somewhere else other than page 13 I should be looking at here?

I am looking at page 101 of the manual where it lists EA Arco PD, and Slingers aren't even listed! I don't get it...

Ah...This modding is too heavy! I am trying to mod a few units and I am already tired!

I hear you, bro. I've spent 60-plus hours on mine, and there's still a lot left to do (esp. changing the stats for the summoned units).

Not to mention that I am worrying about if my light infantry will be too light or overpowered. Is 10 strength with 11 att and 9 def ok for a light infantry?

Light Infantry is supposed to be cannon fodder; so I didn't touch its stats.

Does hero removal command work properly?

I am following the mod manual direction and entering monster number -1 commands, but the heroes still appear.

For instance, here's what I did to get rid of the pop-eating heroes for Hinnom. Please let me know if I am doing something wrong:

hero1 2068 -1

Again, I am having no problem placing heroes; it's the removal that's giving me problems.

Try #hero1 -1. Most modding commands only accept one parameter.
