also, you can empower the angel in blood and cast the spell ;p

I don't think a cold bolt would reflect any damage if the AoF were immune, but I can't swear to that.

spells that cause damage reflect.

I have the feeling that weapons which cause afflictions also have those reflected.

Are you perhaps thinking of the Armor of Souls? Flesh Ward is B5 and Const-8.

The confusion is IW changed the Flesh Ward between Dom 2 and Dom 3. It used to be a cheap non-unique item providing reinvigoration, now it is a artifact with blood vengeance.
