Re: Version, Version Version!!!???
HEY! don't knock AOL I have been using it and I only have problems 10-15% of the time. I don't lose mail too much and It only crashes once in a while. Ummm so don't knock AOL. Any better ISP's out there?

Re: Version, Version Version!!!???
Better ISPs? Try any broadband service. DSL, Cable, etc. Always on, and, best of all, they are not AOL!!!

Re: Version, Version Version!!!???
Don't EVEN get me started on DSL (or the lack there-of).
The answer must be something other than the browser I'm using. Is anyone else using NN 4.5 or 4.6 successfully with PBW?

The browser *is* the issue.
NS 4.5 does not correctly support recent Java progs, so upgrade it or switch to IE5+ (which is already on your system if you're under Windows... damned Bill ! )

Re: Version, Version Version!!!???
I use Opera 6 (free Version). PBW works fine, although some other websites do give me trouble (for example, I can't change my avatar on this site=-(
It's a quick, neat, compact browser though, with functions that IE and NS and AOL and others just don't have. 11 meg downoad from www.opera.com, well worth it.

Re: Version, Version Version!!!???
Gil,
Unfortunatly our UI/Browser guy is out of town for a few days and can't be reaached. I tried downloading Communicator 4.5 to see if I could access the site. It seemed to work the first couple times, but now it's hanging up.
Perhaps when Lazarus returns he can tell you something more constructive, but I do know that some browser Versions just don't work. We are a free site run by volunteers and supported by donations. Even some large commercial websites have browser incompatability issues. That's just the way it is unfortunatly when you have competing browsers that are hoistile to each other the way MS and Netscape are.

Re: Version, Version Version!!!???
As I mentioned in our e-mail discussion about this, PBW's old text-based UI gets along with older Versions of Netscape much better than the new graphics-heavy UI does.
