Great game
i didnt know this game was so good. i play in enourmous world and is much to do on it.
it is my impresion or playing a mage is easier than a warlord?
the coolest game was playing cardinal of el. hordes of bishops and archbishops doing "enslave mind" on every bandit, indy and some others.

Yes, mages are easier. Warlocks particularly so. Demonologist is difficult and necromancers can be easy or hard depending on a lot of things and how often your apprentice refuses orders due to insanity.

Re: Great game
I have to agree that this is a great game. I think it's worthy a sequel. Take the best of Dom 3 and mix it with the best of CoE 2 and it should be a hit... atleast with me. And whatever you do keep the combats as in CoE 2 as I think it's much more enjoyable than in Dom 3.

Re: Great game
I didn't have much time for gaming in the past few months so i have missed the free release of conquest of elysium 2.
But after trying CoE2 during this week, i have found the game to be very interesting once i understood the concept and gameplay , the customisation of the game is nice as it allows to play quick games if you have few time or very long sessions and as another very strong argument it features a lot of replayability.
I never heard about this game before , but that is a superb work , congratulations to Illwinter.
And I agree this would really be worthy of a modernised sequel.

Re: Great game
Recently, I've been trying to find a quick LAN game, something along the lines of earlier Civs, Master of Magic, Battle for Wesnoth... Conquest of Elysiun II fits pretty well. It's turn-based, has several nicely varied nations, offers various strategies, and has lots of funny things that you'll discover by chance. Its weaknesses are in its slow speed. Huge armies are slow to build, and will be severely weakened by even mid-size armies. Attacker will be in a much, much weaker position than the defender, even if there are no walls to protect the defender. Two big armies facing each other will most probably completely annihilate each other.
If the game was easier to finish, it'd be a great coffee-break MP game. Perhaps something like a spreading reign/kingdom area similar to dominion of the other Illwinter games, marking the edges of the kingdom and offering some information about the size and movement of hostile armies, and also a way to win without conquering that last castle of otherwise beaten enemy.

Re: Great game
I'd just like to say that CoE2 is a great game, and would like to say thank you for making it free! It's the perfect companion to dom3 sp.
Is the new game that Illwinter is working on CoE3?
