I would like to add That the simulator would be a good way of recording what you want your ships to do in certain situations. And react as the combat situation changes.

Ie. you script your fleet to launch fighters to take out missle ships.

Your missle ships to attack PD ships and your close assualt ships to form of a wall and close and attack.

And they would react as the situation changes.

You could record these scripts in the simuator.
