Greetings there, I'm the guy who did a lot of the major re-work on the Chinese OOB, so if you have problems, blame me.

Yes. Those are the new-ish Type 90 mortars, which can reach out to 5,700~ meters, give or take a few hundred meters. This is reached via a larger than usual propellant charge and a much longer barrel than usual for that calibre.

It appears that other people are getting into the "super sized" 60mm mortar business, I just found a Yugoslavian 60mm mortar with a 5,100m range...

Let me check that, most likely it's something I missed, like creating a light mechanized infantry company/platoon so you could use those new light wheeled APCs
