Re: The Azorani Alliance has arrived!
The ships are a little hard to tell apart - maybe even some slight colour changes to certain parts or the arrangement of engines can usually help.
About the sizes I was referring more to the size of the escort mini and such - it's almost as big as the dreadnought. Of course I'm just like that and would like to see it about 1/6th the area of a dreadnought - but that's my problem.
I'm don't usually play many long games - but I'm sure the AI is good since your reputation precedes you in that department.
Perhaps one day I will find the motivation to finish off my Geezoid fleet...

Re: The Azorani Alliance has arrived!
I tend to agree with you assessment. I will see what I can do. Thanks for the feedback!

Re: The Azorani Alliance has arrived!
No problem.
I think one of the best parts of the set is the different design of the smaller ships from the larger ones. It's a nice touch - and that it's not done in DOGA helps. I feel your shipsets tend to fit better with the original MM ones which is what I like - especially the race portrait.
Which program did you use to design the fleet?

Re: The Azorani Alliance has arrived!
I use POV-Ray and code the models in POV-Ray's scripting language.

Re: The Azorani Alliance has arrived!
I prefer to use Moray as my interface for POV-Ray - yuck - I would hate programming that stuff.
Mike - If my Star Mod idea gets off the ground would you be interested in perhaps designing one of the ship sets?

You have to be a little off your rocker to like doing POV-Ray scripts (or a programmer - essentially the same thing.)
I would be up to designing a ship set for you. My turn around time isn't real fast, but I have a bLast working on them.

Re: The Azorani Alliance has arrived!
Great. Don't worry about time, there's no deadlines to meet.
This is just a quick pic I made in Moray of a Galaxy Class ship to give an idea of what I meant by custom made ships: Galaxy Class
Keep in mind there is no textures or that...but I thought it turned out well for a ten minute effort.
