I know I'm not Jotunheim, but I just couldn't resist:
[Somewhere behind the border of the known world you may hear the drumming and the heavy steps of the giants. They are born out of the primeval forces of nature and descend from the time when not even the gods were born. Their brutal power is only surpassed by their wisdom, since the old age of the giants have made them see what neither gods nor men ever will.]

 Jotunheim, Call the Giants
of Chaos, all the wolves of
Jarnveden, all the darkness of Utgard!
 Call of Jotunheim!

 Beware the Giants, the Thurizas,
 beyond the border of everything.

 In Utgard the ancient live
 and they bear old memories
You can hear them cry beyond Eli waves.
Angerboda, call her name in the dark.
 Hail!

 Jotunheim, Call the Giants
of Chaos, all the wolves of
Jarnveden, all the darkness of Utgard!
 Call of Jotunheim!

Listen to Mimer, come to his well,
you watch the water of memory.

If you listen to the Old,
they will take you to the past.
 you may hear
 Manegarm howl again.
 Angerboda, watch her
 call on the wolves.
 Hail!

 Thursar! Jotunheimr!
 Resar! Jotunheimr!
 Jotnar! Jotunheimr!

Re: Chronicles: Signup and Actual game-things
Axes swing, trees drop, and the billowing clouds of smoke announce The Great Forges of Ulm are fed once again. Every manner of scampering vile creature peer from the shadows, half men corrupt the souls of the innocent, and righteous men fear to sleep for the demons that flit to their dreams. The Cleansing has been proclaimed and all true men are called by Mama Gaga the Rising Star of the Morning to condemn sorcery in all its dark forms. Suffer no witches to live, and send demonfriends to meet their masters. The perversion of the walking dead will be laid to rest, and the foul abominations which resulted from man lying with beast shall be purified. Heresy in all forms must be destroyed, we fight for the very soul of mankind.
Mama Gaga promises purity for all men. The Black Order has been reformed and the most formidable military force of mankind assembles. Faith in purity. Faith in man. Faith in steel.

Billowing smoke announces the Great Forges of Ulm are fed and all the strength of pure men gathers behind impregnable pure black steel. Prepare for the end half men and all things oblique, the age of man has come and there is no place in this new world for you.

From a conversation in another thread..I wonder how many people might rethink their favorite pretenders and scales with the shift from winning more toward role-play.

Re: Chronicles: Signup and Actual game-things
Don't know, Gandalf. I always try gods that look sensible from RP point of view for me - and you know, they are often good enough for winning... For example, races which are described as undisciplined, etc. often benefit from Turmoil+Luck scale, while those that are described as orderly often benefit from Order. I am not sure whether that was intended, but it sure looks like that to me (and I plan accordingly).
And sorry for not making an introduction for the nation, but right now several powerful spirits are vying for domination among Shinuyama goblins... |

Re: Chronicles: Signup and Actual game-things
The council of Atlantis was in turmoil. The old god was gone and thus the age old struggle would begin. They had no idea how to react to this, and so it looked like the unity of Atlantis was shattered. Then came Diran
He was a great dagon whose mere presence brought a frigid calm to the room. They realized that they were now involved with the coming crisis, and that they would have to stick to it till the bitter end.
