Two things. I think the name might be getting confused. The Ford Lynx is a copy of the Damlier Dingo. The Australian Dingo scout car is totally different from these. Secondly the game stops 12/46. I believe it used to go out further, but units with extended dates were left that way because it has no effect on how the game registers their availability.

Well not either of these 2 things.

1. The current end date is trivial due to the game ending in 1946.
Simply the Ford Dingo, (Aust made AC) ends service about 43. That is what I was saying, ie not at game end which it is at present.

2. In both units, #115 and #149 the picture is of the Australian Ford Dingo not the Daimler Dingo or the Canadian Lynx.

3. Also add to that Unit 149 has a cost of 76 and has the correct vehicle icon. Unit 115 has a cost of 16 and has the vehicle icon of a Lynx or the Daimler Dingo. This is also the cost of the Daimler Dingo in the British OOB7, Unit 115.

To add one other question what would the Australian Ford Dingo be more expensive that the British Dingo / Canadian Lynx?
If it was as good it would not have run out of service.

So one or both need a bit of correction.

Doesn't necessarily mean that there wasn't a mixup when the OOB was created. If the person read one and saw another than they could easily have put the right picture and icon onto the wrong entry. Especially since one of them even has the icon of the Daimler Dingo/Ford Lynx. In fact, the stats for Unit 115 in the British OOB (Daimler Dingo) and that in the Australian OOB (Ford Dingo) are identical with the exception of start date and radio code.

Cost of unit 115 is identical in both British and Australian OOBs (16), adding to my belief that they're meant to be the same. Unit 115 in the Canadian OOB is less (14), because of the weapon and armor differences. The other units are FO vehicles and have increased points based on their spotting ability.

Oddly the Lynx FO (77) is more expensive than the Dingo FO in either the British (75) or Australian OOBs (76). The Dingo AOP in the British OOB (also unit 149) has lower armor stats than the standard Dingo. The Canadian one (still unit 149) has even lower stats, but 2 extra crew, and the same low armor stats as the basic Canadian Lynx. The one in the Australian OOB is in fact the only one with Daimler Dingo armor stats for both.

Unit #115 Ford Dingo - Scout Vehicle and
Unit #149 Ford Dingo - FO Vehicle
FO vehicle. So it acts as a FOO. Therefore it pays the extra points for having FOO abilities.

(Dates etc. will need to be looked at in the update for next year - as the current 3.5 update is being processed for release right now.)

Cheers
Andy
