The base damage is 15. This will, like usual, be affected by a DRN value.

I'm surprised that ethereality doesn't seem to help, because the damage is definitely earth-based / mundane damage, not one of the other elements where there are resistances against. The Fire Plates must be a fluke, either your units didn't get hit as there's a general 80% chance to avoid damage, or the plate increased the protection enough so that the damage didn't matter. As for ethereality, the units get a direct hit with no roll to avoid it of any kind. Maybe the way ethereality works is to prevent getting hit in combat at all, instead of negating the damage, I didn't check this.

Re: Surviving Armageddon
Are you sure there isn't a fire attack that occurs after the earth attack, lch? In the description, you're first exposed to an earthquake, which is presumably AP mundane damage, then exposed to meteors, which is presumably AP fire damage. The fire attack would explain why etherealness doesn't help, but a Fire Plate does.
Every seen!
fyi - Armageddon is actually a location, not an event. The cataclysmic battle between good & evil that decides the fate of - and signals the end of - the world occurs at Armageddon. "Apocalypse" is probably a better title for a world shattering Wish, but not great. "Poor CO2 Management" or "Global Stupidity" may be better.

Re: Surviving Armageddon
lch:
I did plenty of tests on big groups on premade map. Used scouts and ktonian necromancers. The only thing that helps was protection and luck [of course besides high HP or shroud with S9 bless]. Robe of Shadows didn't help at all. Fire Plate on 0 prot unit was enough to decrease deaths on 9 HP units by about 75%.
P.S. I doubt there is any fire damage involved. I tested with fire plate just because fire gems are cheaper than earth. And I could easily make lots of them with Forge to protect some mages.

Re: Surviving Armageddon
Sorry, I've been giving wrong numbers before - there's not an 80% chance to fall victim to the Armageddon attack, but to AVOID it. Just like with population, only 20% of units will be affected by the Armageddon attack, but the population dies immediately while the units might make it through the attack with high HP, protection or luck. I have corrected my posts.

Re: Surviving Armageddon
You wouldn't believe it but I was wondering about your stats yesterday night... How was it possible that the random artisan had an 80% chance of not getting hit by this world-destroying armageddon, and an heavy trained SC had the 20%??

Re: Surviving Armageddon
Normal Dominions population all run around in armor, so 80% get hit, but only 20% die. =)
