I don't think we need incentives. This is a game for people which like and enjoy writing stories. The writing is part of the fun of the game, if someone doesn't like to write stories can play another game and freely read what ppl in this game wrote. Simple as that.
Also it would be hard to 1) give ingame incentives (what do we do, we autotax ourselves and send money to the good writer? what's the thematic reason of that?), and 2) decide which writes the best - we all have different tastes regard of writing styles, form, etc. I.e. in the MA game all the stories are good and enjoyable and the ones I personally prefer are of Caelum's and T'ien Ch'i, but other people may prefer different styles and I think it wouldn't be fair to decide on majority |

llamabeast mentioned in another thread that you need someone to take over for Gandalf dropping out?
 Still the case?

Re: Chronicles_EA: Second-pass Signup and Discussion
It looks like it, hEad, and we'd be glad to have ya. It looks like Pangaea is free now, as well as Kailasa and Ry'leh, although it seems Incabulos has Fomoria. And of course whatever nations noone picked in the list a few pages back.
Just to check, the person using Yomi -is- someone from this thread and just decided to change their nation, right? Just making sure it's not someone sending the wrong file by accident or applying to the wrong game.

Regarding a nation that rewards good/regular writing - ehhh... Unless we all get a set payout at set intervals for submitting a piece of writing, or say everyone votes every X turns to reward the player who's writing they've enjoyed the most over that period, then it would be almost impossible to distribute fairly due to the different opinions we'd all have the matter. Also it would require a fair bit of work editing the map to stop a 'free' capital being snapped up by someone. If enough people want to have it we can work something out, otherwise I'll take the lazy way out
As for the CBM fix I'm easy either way. I don't think it has any glaring errors for our era. If it comes out in the next few days I'll definately use it. Your not the last to apply Incabulos, we're waiting on four more pretenders

If you have several spots open I would also be interested in joining. Arew there still spots? If pangea is open I would prefer that, but I will take anything.

Yes, I like Tien Chi and Caelum, too - with not the least of reasons being that they post regularly! R'lyeh, while more rare, also keeps it up.
And I believe Gandalf told something about how incentives can be organized at the beginning of the other thread. Of course, I can live without them - but maybe with reduced output...
Considering CBM fix - I think there is an error with one of Marverni Pretenders being assigned somewhere else. But as Marverni Pretender was already sent it may be ignored... Don't remember what were other serious mistakes. |

Pangaea free?? Lol, lol, wait Is there a way to remove my pretender? I'd love to give a try to EA Pangaea instead of Oceania
EDIT: Ops I swear, didn't see BigandScary's post. I'll stick to my fish&chips |

Sure BigandScary, I think we can squeeze you in
Pangaea is free as far as I know unless hEad wanted to take them over for Gandalf, in which case first come first served I'm afraid. I've upped our player count to 16. |

Re: Chronicles_EA: Second-pass Signup and Discussion
Stopping in for the WPP chat tonite and I caught up on this thread.
Dont just take over for me unless you REALLY want it. Send in your own Pangaean god. Mine is far from optimum for the CBM mod. I was going to have a rough time with him. Particularly in role playing as the human hater. No human indepts, no human mercs, no human allies.

But I will miss having fun with peoples titles. I was going to hold them to the epithets they got when they created their pretenders. Why would I have anything to do with a pretender whose titles included Duke of Corruption, or God of Fraud and Theft, or Patron of Liars?
