That's the map.

I've tried fixed starts before and it tends to lead to accusations of game-fixing, so random is the way to go.

I thought llamaserver provided a link to the map that I put on the server, but if it doesn't I'll post it once the pretenders are in.

In an attempt to avoid a river to tears on turn 1, have the northern ponds and the provinces with less than 3 neighbors been designated no starts?

I agree...people have to deal with a random map start.

But I also agree with Revolution that there is no reason to have to have such a bad start as to make that person long to be put out of the game.

I think Revolutions idea is a good one...(I am no modder so I have no idea if this can be done), Have some areas where there just is NO WAY you can get a start if you are placed there marked as no start.

Other than that or sitting on someones lap at the start..lets roll!!!
