Corrian Commonwealth updated!!!

I have updated my race, The Corrian Commonwealth. It is compatable with SEIV Gold 1.67. I made a couple of changes to the shipset and completely redid the AI files to make them more competative, but not just same old. If you downloaded the previous Version, I urge you to download the update. If you did not download the previous Version, WHAT'S wrong with YOU!!! LOL Anyway, you can get them HERE or from the link in my sig. Have fun out there!!

I wasn't able to get much time play time this weekend, so I was going to wait to comment until I got to play with them a little and see how the AI worked. But, I can perhaps give you a few comments now.

Overall, it is an intriguing looking set, and the race concept and background sound great. There a couple of things that I think would improve the shipset.

First, it looks like all of the ships are pretty much the same size. From past experience with my own sets, I believe that you get a better effect by showing some size difference, especially in the minis (see the change I made in the Azorani for an example of that), but also, at least to some extent, in the main portraits.

Second, it seems like the view points change for some of the different ships. It looks better when all of the ships are viewed from the same angle.

Third, I'm not sure if I like the inconsistencies in color. I realize that it is certainly possible for a race to use different color schemes on different spacecraft, but somehow the differences in this one just don't fit in my opinion. Others may disagree with me on this, though. I have discovered that people have dramatically different opinions on color schemes.

Anyway, those are just some of my thoughts. I like the race, and am going to give them a shot to see how the AI performs, when I have the chance.

Alpha - My first shipset and I cut and pasted from another program. I realise that the color scheme is not identical, but it is close, except the green cruiser, and, not being much of a graphics manipulator, could not get exact. On this race, I spent the majority of my time on the AI, so please let me know how they perform.

PS - I am finally working with Doga-L3 on my first totally original set and will post when complete.
