Recovering Fighters in Combat
Hi again, yet another clueless newbie question.
How do you recover fighters in combat? I have built fighters with a one-shot weapon and want to re-arm them after they fire.
Thanks,
AtP

You don't. At the end of the combat, all fighters still alive are automatically recovered. You can't have them reload in the middle of a battle.

Mine didn't. I'm playing the demo and all of my fighters got "lost" after combat was over.
And not recovering fighters during combat is pretty bogus, don't you think?
Thanks,

Re: Recovering Fighters in Combat
I had fighters fail to be recovered because my carriers had taken damage. But they still showed up as in space at the end of combat. (Had to abandon them at warp point - was in enemy space) Never just lost them though...
...Well ensign, did you remember to open the fighter bay doors after combat?
Ummm, I knew there was something I was forgeting...

Re: Recovering Fighters in Combat
Maybe that was just a bug with the demo.

Re: Recovering Fighters in Combat
If enough of your fighter/cargo bays were destroyed, your fighters wouldn't be recovered due to lack of available space.

Re: Recovering Fighters in Combat
Not to mention.... did you really watch how many of your fighters were destroyed in combat? Many people don't look closely at the little number next to the Groups. You could have lost many without recognizing it.
