In my second attempt, i obtained a marginal victory :

The opposing forces managed to grab a victory hex in the last 3 turns in the north, but my troops there were under heavy pinning down with the focused fire of the mortars and so i couldn't get them back.

Knowing what kind of troops and weaponry to expect from your enemy really makes all the difference in a battle
