Noob ? Again. Hotkey Q?
Hi All
Upon looking at the unit selection Hot Keys I can't seem to activate any of the following:
Double-click: select all units of same type: Double Click what?
Shift-click: select multiple units: How does this work?
(click and) w: select all units with afflictions: Click what? And from what menu?
(click and) e: select all units with 2+ experience stars: Click what? And from what menu?
I know it is silly, but I am still learning how this goes.
Also, I am still to figure out what to do with earth magic. I can seem to make many weapons or case much in the way of rituals at E3 or E4, am I missing something?
In a final point, Blood Magic ... I don't know much about it. I have a bunch of B1 people, nothing more. Is there any way of boosting this using B1 mages?
And a final question? How do I know if the 3.23 patch has loaded correctly and does this patch include all from 3.01-3,22?

Re: Noob ? Again. Hotkey Q?
The various selection commands are used in the army setup screen.
Double-clicking a unit in a squad selects all units of the same type, letting you move them to a different sqad.
Shift-clicking a unit selects it in addition to any units you already have selected.
Hitting 'w' adds all units in the current squad that have afflictions to your selection, but you need to have selected (i.e. clicked) a unit in the squad first.
'e' does the same, but for experienced units.
There are several useful earth spells at E3 or E4, though most of them are battle spells that increase strength, give large amounts of protection and such. Most rituals around there are summoning spells, some of them useful.
You can use empowerment to increase the skill of a commander in any magic type, spending an increasing number of gems to do so - blood, meanwhile, uses the same number of slaves instead of gems: These are generally considered much less precious, since you can produce large amounts by blood-hunting in your provinces. That said, just because some of your units have a bit of blood skill, there is no need to throw yourself into researching and casting large amounts of blood magic, and you're usually better off with other magic for those nations.
On the main menu, you should see "version 3.23b" in the bottom-left corner if you're up to date.

Thanks, I just looked up empowerment. That seems to be the only route for upping the horse power in my situation.

I'm hoping to add my own question to this thread if thats ok. I'm pretty sure theres a hotkey to make all selected commanders put all their gems/slaves to the laboratory, i just cant remember it.

For blood slaves you can just hit Shift-Z. For regular gems your stuck using the pool command in the gem interface. You'll have to redistribute the gems to any commanders who are supposed to have them though.

So long as there's a lab in the province.

You have to select the commanders whose slaves you want to return but yeah, you're correct
