I was tired of shopping around for the "dream computer" that no one carried, sooooooo I made my desktop from scratch. Best decision I ever made. It is the computer I've always wanted and I maxed it out from the start, leaving only upgrades for future projects... I've been around electronics all my life, so it was very easy for me. Now, if your inclined to work on your own desktop or laptop, just remember one thing. Plan the time to do it and take your time. ALWAYS make sure you have an ESD (Electro Static Discharge) strap or use ESD procedures so you don't fry the little chips or processor with a static charge. Use little containers for the screws and (once more) 'take your time', mark the container for where the screws belong and you will have an enjoyable time learning to fix your own computers for general problems. Some things are still best left to the professions for repair...
