Re: 28 cm HE Rocket -- infantry weapon ?!
Ок, it is possible in 1 section.
But I shall repeat, in Platoon and Company almost all section are armed 28-cm HE Rocket!
Pl and Company, but not section, are overloaded by the weapon.

Re: 28 cm HE Rocket -- infantry weapon ?!
I sort of see what he is trying to say, for 1 squad in the platoon to have is fine but the whole platoon lugging them around is probably a bit unusual. I have no idea though do think Germans went for making fireing of fast as possible even straight out of the crate.

I'll have to look for the site again, but I recall seeing a site with some really good pictures of those rockets in infantry use. Basically they used the same crate for all the missiles, the aiming end had a pair of rotating legs and it was prewired for the ignitor cicuit. The whole procedure was to set the crate on the ground, lift the aiming end to the right angle, set the legs, make connection to the ignitor circuit and fire.

That unit is flagged with radio code 11 which make it a rare pick and if this is an AI game and they all showed up that way then it's a very rare event NOT a common occurance.
If it's a PBEM then a human player can pick it as many times as he likes

Battle in PBEM has forced me to study this division steadfastly.
It is a nightmare - when a lot of similar units !
The artillery is not necessary to them.
These rockets perfectly supression armies of the opponent.

Not what I had in mind, but it does show the crate in good detail:

Don- I'm still looking for that historical site, no dice so far. It's been a few years, I hope it's still active somewhere...

Should have included conditions in pbem of no infrantry with rockets.
Never would see that in AI play i'm sure.
Just an example someone exploiting the game i would guess, clever little sharks.

Re: 28 cm HE Rocket -- infantry weapon ?!
In 1942 in Leningrad manufacture of jet mines М28 and М32 has been mastered. They themselves represented a copy of German heavy jet mines 28 cm Wurfkorper Spreng and 32 cm Wurfkorper Flam

Infantry RKKA also used this type of the weapon.
