preaching and turn order.

I had a situation recently. The province was +1 candle to an enemy god and I was under siege in the castle with no temple. I ordered 6-8 H2 priests inside the castle to preach, and I moved my Pretender (Dom9) in with hold and retreat orders for reconnaissance. I possibly had +1 dom for a VP province, which I'm guessing I got for owning the castle if not the province.

When the battle was fought, I was - much to my surprise - at 4 candles to my Dom (I'd have set my pretender to fight if I'd known).

Clearly, the +5 leap cannot have been due to my pretender (3 max), nor my pretender plus the VP (4 max). Consequently, I would agree that preaching at least must change Dom before a battle is fought.

From other more anectdotal evidence I'd suggest all other +Dom is as well.
