Micah: Or maybe you have the nexus up and you don't want to bounce it when you cast SOAP.

nordlys: Nah, I like it the way it is. GL, you could cast both on the same turn anyway!

Seems so, yeah. I've got an early impression from the message screen that spells go off in order of their schools, first conj, then alt, etc, so conj globals are always before dispel. Appears it's completely random after all.

Still, a 50% chance to waste some hundred gems on a failed global AND lend a helpful dispelling hand to all the enemies who spam their ever-failing globals monthly is quite harsh. Since a turn means a month, it's not like a lab manager can't direct his crew, "Mike, finish that spell of yours *after* Joe is done with his dispelling, not before". Them being powerful mages implies they are smart enough for that, after all
