not giving away anything that's not already visible in the graphs and already mentioned by others in here... also, Verjigorm, remember that information is also a resource, not just valuable. |

				 Re: STACKERS, newbie game, (started)
Which isn't to say some of us might miscalculate, of course. But thus far nothing I've said in this thread is of profound importance in a game with scorecharts. Well, maybe the mercenary thing is a little important, but anyone who's paying attention to the listing and army score can surmise that anyone hiring out to Agartha or me better have their life insurance paid up, and that we've done most of the hiring.
I guess all I'm looking to get back from here is amusing anecdotes explaining things I already knew in one fashion or another. Preferably catastrophic things - Agartha, I'm looking at you, that big downward spike can't have been ALL dead mercs. Sadly, the best catastrophes in the near future are probably going to involve wars, and that's privileged information... that I still wouldn't mind hearing, of course.

Private messages, now, that's another matter. That's where Blackguard has a point.

Edited to add: to be fair, anyone volunteering to play Man clearly is either more brilliant, more sneaky, or possibly more insane than most of us, so I can see why you'd be cagier than us chatty schmucks.

In fairness to new players I feel I should mention that information can also be propaganda |

 *screams*
Plan ahead, get shafted by hotel wifi failure, and STILL miss the turn by less than an hour.

Oh well. Chalking that stale up to the Will of Fate.

Edited to add: hey Gandalf, any way I could get the turn I staled emailed to me or something? I'd really like to have a look at a battle report there (and any random events and suchlike).

				 Giving away information
Bogus and friends decided to pay my empire a visit. Province 117 is now available to anyone who is bored and has a teleport spell researched. I can't imagine why you'd want it, but I thought it would be amusing to offer it to you all |
