Kailasa is still top five in pretty much every category, despite drifting the last couple of turns. It's not at war with anyone, is sitting on a large arsenal of sacreds and such, and has a still-potent D9 bless (and I think maybe W4+? too? - I forget), which makes their sacreds and mages still a threat into the late game.
And like chrispederesen said, the usual suspects of heavy hitters are not in the game (well, Hinnom is hanging on by the tiniest of threads - that's it). And, after a couple of stales, you'll now have a huge pile of gems and gold stored up to play with
