Re: 4 x games in 2002: the big three.
When I say bid, it's not in an auction setting, but where the person with the right contract gets the business.
As for Stars! Supernova, they look like they got a great game, but it looks like they also over-extended themselves.

Have you seen Stars! SG the site? They're trying to attract interest of console manufacturers now. If they don't give up on the pie-in-the-sky hopes for big-time distributors and release the (*^$^$ thing it's gonna be a total loss. It looked so cool, too.

It was unfortunate that it got scrapped , but there is still the possibility of a Bab 5 flight sim...
The babylon project is a total conVersion of Freespace 2 (another fine game i might add), changes ships, weapons, sounds graphics to the bab 5 universe. u can even fly the whitestar! (you can stop drooling now )
Babylon Project
And since the source code for freespace 2 has been released, i would expect to see an even more mods becomming available for freespace 2 for scifi series based mods. i remember reading that the babylon project had run into limits on modding because they didnt have access to the source code... that shouldnt be a problem anymore. i hope they keep developing the mod

another GREAT game. i am playing it 4 times, simultaniously, with 4 different characters. the experience is entirely different between different character abilities. there are tons of different factions and guilds in the game, and the quests for any given faction contain enough material to make up a game in their own right. add them all together, and throw in the main quest on top, and you have several hundred hours of game-play. and thats before you even touch any of the editing tools and mods / expansions available on the internet.
