There is ZERO difference in game terms between an AK-74 and AN-94 Assault Rifle and if you look closely you will see that there aren't many weapons slots left in the Russian OOB and I won't be wasting them on something that the only difference is the name AND, as has been noted, it's in very limited service

What do you mean with ZERO difference?

According the book claims Izmash the manufacturer that the AN-94 has a first-shot hit probability 1,5 to 1,7 times better than the AK-74.
And that Russian sources stated that the overall efficiency of the AN-94 is twice as the AK-74. And 50% greater then the M16.
Also is there a Russian claim that the reliability of the AN-94 has a 150% improvement as AK-74.

And after the Taman Guards Division in Moscow and the Spetsnaz who where all equiped with this assault rifle. I think that the VDV and the Naval Infantry also are are equiped with this assault rifle

if that's the case it could unbalance the game, m16a4's have better accuracy than generic rifles though. but it might be like that in real life, i don't know, never fired anything other than light hunting rifles
