Default BCT Commander question

I am thinking of buying BCT Commander and right now I am playing the demo. I was attacking a fire team which appeared to be on a hill with a Bradley and Humvee. When they got to a certain point a green x appeared. What is this? Thanks.

This indicates the unit is blocked by either an obstacle like mines or wire, or by blocking terrain.

Only my opinion, but please consider buying ATF instead, I think it's better and has some of the same missions as BCT. It's more optimized or newer Windows systems than BCT. I made the mistake and bought BCT before trying the demo and before trying the ATF-demo. Similar to World Supremacy, which I bought a month earlier (and which, although it has a way better interface and can be played rightaway (in contrast to BCT)), is a much more unpolished, at present relatively featureless game. I had fewer problems of getting into WS, but doesn't reward longer playing, because the AI isn't a match for human opponents yet, which was even worse in the pre-1.09 versions (now it can at least make more than one attack per round and can use nukes on a limited scale).
I found BCT VERY hard to get into. Maybe I should try again. Only played the tutorial and one other map yet (which I lost, and I also needed some tries for the tutorial).
One more thing to add: BCT only has scripted AI action, I think one or two courses of action for the AI per scenario, and it can't move outside the maneuver area.
Would be cool if you'd specify in which way the ATF AI is improved, Pat! ATF is one of the few games I'd still consider buying after the disappointment with WS and BCT (but I'll wait for a discount, if possible).

The only thing I didn't like about the ATF demo was that the command system seems a bit more confusing (this HQ/group system), but I think it makes perfect sense for military personell (I don't have military training, I think that's why I'm having difficulties getting into ProSIM games).
