Honestly, I don't even need the patrols. I just think watchers are cool. And I'm playing as Eriu, so I'm already using Sleepers (I find them very thematic). But aren't watchers magic creatures?

My "Watchers" at least are indeed magic.
But I don't know what the "sleeper" is

4n conjuration, gives a size three commander with 120 leadership and 25 standard.
They're supposed to be ancient warriors slumbering until the end of the world (the Ascension Wars), at which point they awaken to lead the armies of their god. Very cool stuff.

That would explain by ignorance, I have no N! My Watchers have come to me through E.

Re: patrolin' dirty
Well I also got my watchers the traditional way. I just also summoned some sleepers.
Also, I was wrong. Sleepers do in fact have magical leadership.

Sorry to be pedantic, but I don't quite understand, and I'd like to...
Watchers are are Ench #5, requiring A3E1, which is what I meant by "E" (as I am Vanheim I have plenty of "A").
GoR is N4 but requires Thau #4, if that's what you were talking about.
So just what does your "4n conjuration" refer to?? I cannot see any "Sleeper" conjuration spell, and neither "Sleeper" nor "Summon Sleeper" appear in the Grimoire, nor have I seen such a thing. I play vanilla.
Yours,
