i am for 48h as well
as you can see i has been somewhat stalling (turning turns at the last moment), b/c i can't handle 1 turn/day pace and you guys so far are great with doing your turns ...
the game is not only turns, but also diplomacy and that takes time ...

If all agree i´ll extend the hosting interval to 48h.

Edit: for now i set the time to 48h.
