The first entry into any formation has to be a UNIT ( NEVER a formation ) so if the first unit is part of a HQ formation then you have to build the HQ formation in the Coy as individual units THEN add the formations. Formations always start line 2 or higher.

If you had a 2 tank section that would be entered as two units on line 1 and 2 and then you can add platoons

The default Headquarters (A0) will ride in a BFV.
